You all know I luv my music well one of my favourites is coming out with a new album "This is the Moment" and guess what? He is singing one of Mammy's favourite songs written by Phil Coulter "Scorn not his Simplicity" you can see it on youtube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XgpoAs9We4 . Did you listen to it yet? Well take a listen.

Another thing I won't get to see Phil Coulter when I go to the Celtic Thunder concert he is busy with his own new album "Heartland". The count down begins for my first concert roll on September. I cannot thank Nanny enough for getting me my ticket.

They are back

They came back today and of course the plane was late. We went out Granddad's way to the airport we did hit some traffic but it was so easy to get there. They were waiting outside for us to arrive. Hey you know my Mammy she is either early or else late never on time. She had been calling the airline to see if the plane had taken off but they wouldn't tell her. She didn't want me to be sitting out in a germy place waiting so that's what made us late.

The house is almost back to normal. Maurs is keeping me company.

You know we had an earthquake the other day here in NY. Some stuff rattled on my shelf over my bed but nothing fell down. You know when you are in a car in a parking garage and a van or truck passes by and you can feel the ground vibrate well that's what it felt like.

Now we are getting ready for the storm to hit here. We are not in a flood zone and anyway we live on the 4th floor so the water would have to rise awful high to reach us. Mammy has the duct tape ready for the big windows just in case it gets very windy.

The house is very empty

Yup the house sounds very empty with out Eoghan and Maurs in it. They are on their holidays at Pop and Grandma's house in South Carolina with Daddy. They are coming back later today so we will be going out to the airport to pick them up.

Mammy is a bit confused with the letters she has gotten from the school district. One letter was dated August 3rd but it wasn't mailed out until August 22nd and it is about school placement. You know the ones where they give you 10 days to either accept or say no to the school they chose for you. Then she also gets another letter asking to accept the additional services also dated August 22nd. She has called the district but as usual no one is returning her phone calls. Also the goals they have put on my IEP are silly. Can some one tell me how is some one who is blind be given the goal of being able to point to the primary colours? How is someone who is unable to stand on their own going to be able to kick a ball? I wonder if they are getting me confused with another child named Finnian?

Mammy said she is going to hopefully get everything straightened out as soon as possible. Poor Mammy always has a fight on her hands when it comes to me.

Finally Mammy is updating

Well the latest is I got my VNS put in on the 8th of August and it was turned on today. So now I am all wired up. Mammy even got to swipe my magnet on my VNS today as I was having a tonic seizure. She said her knees were knocking as she was hoping she was doing it right. It stopped my seizure "yahoo".

Eoghan came back from Ireland with Nanny on Wednesday and they had all kinds of nice prezzies for me and Maurs.

I have to go back to the water works doc for a check up as I have been having some peeing issues. Mammy even took me to the ER one night as I had not peed in a very long time. She did try to get the pee out with the tube at home but it didn't work. You know as the doc was checking me out in the ER I peed so they just sent me home. It has happened a few times since so I have to go and get the water works department checked out.

I have a good few doctors appointments next week so that will keep us busy while Daddy, Eoghan and Maurs go to South Carolina to Pop and Grandma's. So I will have Mammy all to myself for 5 days Bonnie will be here during the day she changed her holidays because of all of my appointments.

The weather is really messing with me

Take today for example, I am sleeping next thing I know I am in my bed and Bonnie is shoving the oxygen thing up my nose. All I wanted to do was sleep and I did almost 4 hours. My O2 dipped down to the 60's but then Mammy noticed my hand was twitching. So she went to get the camera and of course the card wasn't in it so by the time she was all set up to tape me the seizure had stopped.

The last few days have been a bit off. Yesterday when the PT was here I had a seizure I hope we didn't scare him off. I think that was the first one I have had with him. I know I have had some with my speech lady just small ones nothing to really worry about.

Now I haven't done a #2 in a few days even though they are giving me stuff to make me go so I guess I will be getting the other stuff to make me go. They better get the gas masks out and have the hose ready in the tub to clean me off. Well hopefully I will go otherwise we will be taking a trip to the hospital to get me cleaned out. Its bad enough that Mammy and Bonnie have to see my tush I really don't want a load of nurses and doctors looking at it. So fingers crossed that there will be an explosion in my nappy tomorrow.
